About GasTran
Founded in 2004, GasTran was established to meet the growing need for improved water deaeration solutions in the beverages industry using Rotating Packed Beds (RPBs). Since then, GasTran has successfully manufactured, installed and maintained water deaeration systems for beverage companies including Coca-Cola, Pepsi and Diageo.
Building on its success in the beverage industry, GasTran applied its RPB technology to the energy industry with projects for Chevron and several cleantech companies. A decade later, Mojonnier was acquired to complement its work in the beverage equipment market. The GasTran Technology is currently licensed to Mojonnier, who provides custom RPB solutions to customers in beverage, cleantech, oil & gas, and chemical process.

Matthew Brinn
President
Matthew J. Brinn is the President of Mojonnier, an Ohio-based company that designs, engineers, and manufactures process equipment for the food & beverage industry. He also serves as the President of GasTran Systems, a process intensification equipment company he founded in 2004. He has an undergraduate degree from Miami University and a graduate degree from Babson College. He resides in Gates Mills, Ohio.
Joshua Wolfe
Project Manager- Engineer
Joshua joined the GasTran team in 2020 and leads the technical service support organization, overseeing both capital project execution and ongoing service operations.
With 14 years of experience across a diverse range of engineering and project management roles, Joshua focuses on aligning technical excellence, operational reliability, and customer objectives to drive long-term value across GasTran’s projects and process solutions.
Christopher Prochaska
Senior Design Engineer
Christopher has been with GasTran since 2022 and is the lead design engineer for all RPB systems. As the subject area expert for RPB development, he has lead the research and development efforts on many of GasTran’s latest IP filings and continues to push the efficiency and reliability of the RPB designs.
Michael Pipes
Purchasing Manager
Michael has been with GasTran since 2016, where he leads the Parts and Purchasing departments. He brings extensive experience in distribution center management, order fulfillment, and logistics, helping ensure efficient operations and exceptional service for GasTran’s customers.
Barry Nall
Lead Service Technician
Barry Nall is an accomplished engineering technician with nearly three decades of experience in mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and advanced engineering systems. Since beginning his engineering career in 1997, he has built extensive expertise in project management, industrial maintenance, machine design, and production optimization. Barry currently leverages his broad technical and operational knowledge as a Service Engineer at Mojonnier, where he supports engineering projects and customer service initiatives. Barry holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from The University of Akron.
